Food styling for commercials, food television and social media.

Based in Los Angeles, Marah Abel is a food stylist and recipe developer working across still photography and commercial broadcast, styling for packaging, advertising campaigns, editorial, food television, online content and social media. Trained in baking and pastry at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, she went on to work with acclaimed chef Paul Bertolli at Oliveto in the San Francisco Bay Area and as an artisan bread baker at Hi-Rise Bread Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her interest in photography brought her to Los Angeles, where managing food photographer Carin Krasner’s LightSpace studio introduced her to food styling. Today she combines a cook’s understanding of food with a photographer’s eye for composition, texture and detail, creating beautiful, believable food for the camera.
